Easter 2013

Great Grandma Irene and all the Great Grandkids (soon to be one more)!

The Easter Bunny left some suprises!

A cool helmet for Brody to wear on the 4-wheeler!

And some books!

Woohoo! I found some eggs!

Visiting Grandma Arthur

Following an afternoon Easter celebration with the Reinking family, we went to visit Great Grandma Arthur. We wanted a chance to see her and wish her a happy birthday :-) Here are a few generations of Arthurs!

Easter Eggs!

Brody and I stayed home today and dyed some Easter eggs! It was kinda messy but lots of fun!

Counting our eggs!

Brody's 2-Year Photo Shoot

We had Brody's 2-year photo shoot with Kelli Jo! She is so great and always captures Brody in his true light :-)

Dress Up!

Brody has been really interested in playing "dress-up" lately. He loves putting on different hats, sunglasses, boots and shoes. Of course he always says he looks "good" or "cool." What a funny guy!

Semi Ride

Brody had been on a couple short semi rides around the farm but today Dad took him on a longer trip to deliver some corn to the ethanol plant in Charles City. He loved it and was very excited about his semi ride!

Honk! Honk!

Uncle Brian and Aunt Abby's Wedding

Brian and Abby got married this weekend and Brody was their little ring bearer! He did an awesome job and we all had so much fun! Rehearsal was a little rough so we weren't sure how it would go. We thought he would probably race down the aisle to get to both his grandmas sitting at the front of the church. The petals that the flower girls were dropping really distracted him and he did a great job going nice and slow!

Brody and Grandma Zieman saying CHEESE!

Zooming his "blue Dodge power" to Uncle Brian!

Now taking a turn with Dad! This kept him occupied for a while during pictures.

Handsome Dad :-)

And a handsome little guy!

MUSCLES!

Delicious cupcakes! Getting a little sugar so he'll be able to dance :-)

Nap Time!

Brody is enoying his first nap in his big boy bed - sleeping sideways with his blanket on the floor!

Brody's Big Boy Tractor Bed

We unveiled Brody's big boy bed to him this morning :-) He stayed home with Dad today and will get to test it out for the first time at nap! So far, I think he's in love and Dad is so proud!

He loves the lights!

Thanks for all your hard work, Dad! This big boy bed is awesome :-)

Big Boy Bed Complete!

Sean and I put the finishing touches on Brody's big boy bed tonight! It all started with a picture of some tractor bunk beds I saw online. They were cool but we wanted Brody to have just a normal twin bed without bunks. I did a little looking online and found a few more pictures. We did a combination of a couple different designs and this is what we came up with. Sean did such an awesome job with all the building. Woodworking isn't his favorite way to spend free time - he'd rather be welding or working with metal but he made an exception for Brody! I did the painting and we worked together putting the finishing touches on. We hope Brody likes it! He has been talking about his big boy bed a lot but hasn't seen it since its been painted so I don't think he knows its a tractor yet!

Arthur Family Trip 2013: Wisconsin Dells

Grandpa and Grandma Arthur treated the whole family to a trip to Wisconsin Dells this weekend! We really had such a good time. We told Brody about the trip about a week ahead of time and he was so excited to go on vacation with Jaxon and Maci! It's so great to see them have fun together :-)

The first night we went out to dinner at Buffalo Phil's and played at the arcade.
Family Pictures :-)

The first game Dad and Brody played, they WON! They were able to snag a big tennis ball with the claw.

At dinner, we wore fun hats and our food was delivered by a choo-choo train!

Brody might have some good moves but he's not great at Dance Dance Revolution quite yet...

Mini golf! We will have to try this again. Brody was crabby and very independent so our game wasn't very fun for anyone.

Monkey!

Brody loved the slides right away! Some with Dad and some all by himself!

"Hi, Mom!"

Bumper Boats!

Grandma and Grandpa both took me on long rides down the lazy river. We didn't snag a picture of Grandpa though!

Brody checked out the wave pool with Grandma. He wasn't so sure about the waves...

Just like Daddy!

Brody is constantly copying Dad. Today he said he was going to use tools like Dad and he climbed up to snag Dad's hat to wear around :-)
